Managing Director
As Managing Director of U.S. Corporate Ventures Group, Mr. Sharma advises clients on strategic debt
capital transactions including leveraged buyouts (LBOs), management buyouts (MBOs), commercial
lending of term loans and credit facilities, and commercial financing of property, equipment and other assets.
Previously, for eight years Mr. Sharma gained broad experience in a variety of international
roles at prominent investment banking firms. Most recently at Credit Suisse First Boston,
Mr. Sharma developed the areas of leveraged finance, private equity, structured products and M&A
transactions in the US and Europe. Deal transactions ranged from $50 million to $13 billion
and included debt financings, private equity placements, leveraged finance, reorganizations,
workouts and M&A.
Previously at CIBC Oppenheimer and UBS within equity research, Mr. Sharma covered the
industries of technology, telecom, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and chemicals.
Mr. Sharma earned an MBA in International Finance and Management and completed
post-graduate studies in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Economics at
Rutgers University. Mr. Sharma earned his BA in Economics, Finance, and Engineering from
New York University. As an exchange student, he attended the University of Cambridge in the
UK and ESSEC in Tours, France.
Mr. Sharma enjoys outdoor activities and contributes to non-profit charities assisting children
and women in third-world nations.
